Navigating Chaos to Complexity: Everything is Not an Emergency
When everything changes and you have not experienced this change before – how do you lead and plan?
Program Details:
WHAT?
An unknowable event has disrupted our work and plans.
How will you and your team make sense of this change?
Are you prepared to develop processes and plans to increase your resilience to construct a better future?
What can you increase and decrease in your talent development that will ensure a more pliant foundation that can absorb future disruption and increase your odds for success?
SO WHAT?
The rate of change and complexity of work is not slowing down. You constantly have to organize the information available to you and determine how to use it best to make choices. This skill can be developed and implemented in your organization.
In this workshop, we'll look at the Cynefin framework. This framework supports you in making better decisions by assessing the situation and changing how you solve wicked-problems.
NOW WHAT?
Skills you will develop:
Learn to understand plus categorize your decisions and challenges in a way that makes sense and is actionable for your team and you.
Apply the Cynefin Framework to your decisions and actions.
From where you are in the Cynefin Framework (confused, clear, complicated, complex, chaos), know how to best plan for making progress.
Be able to use the Cynefin framework to construct a feeling of control and focus on your work.
Attend if you:
work in constantly-evolving, dynamic situations and need more effective decision support tools;
have experienced unexpected outcomes or challenges with what were assumed to be well-planned initiatives;
are experiencing higher degrees of uncertainty and risk;
are looking to create greater resilience and agility in your organization;
are seeking to improve leadership skills in managing uncertainty
